Rudy and The Unauthorized Rolling Stones have shared stages with or opened for some of the biggest names in Rock:
- Sir Elton John
- The Beach Boys
- Joan Jett
- Los Lobos
- Molly Hatchet
- Pete Best
- Taylor Dayne
- Gary Wright
- Al Stewart
- Chaka Khan
They played the Rolling Stones’ 40th Birthday VIP Party, and have performed at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium, Great American Music Hall, PacBell Park, Hard Rock Cafe, Harrah’s Reno, Tahoe, and Las Vegas, and have been featured live on KFOX, KFOG, and KRON 4 TV.
Rudy had the honor of contributing to Francis Ford Coppola’s 1983 production Rumble Fish. The band has become something of a legend in their home town of San Francisco. Former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown was quoted as saying “I love the Unauthorized Rolling Stones,” and former Mayor and current Lt. Governor Gavin Newsom has expressed his love for the band many times, even going so far as to declare October 13, 2007, as Rudy Colombini Day.
The Unauthorized won the San Francisco Bay Guardian’s pick as Best Local Cover Band. Singer/Producer Rudy Colombini is the owner of Music City SF: a musical space and recording studio in San Francisco.
